JINJER Is Here To Claim Their Throne

As of now the reviews have poured in about JINJER ’s new EP MICRO, released on Jan 11, 2019. Instead of breaking down each song, which we all know by now that it kicks ass, let talk about something different. Let’s discuss, even if briefly, the impact they have made and will continue to make in music. Each member of JINJER has talent in abundance. Roman’s riffing pushes into new territory mixing a new brand of progressive metal utilizing various picking techniques and groove. Vlad’s drumming keeps the punishment going and has quickly become a favorite in which new and old drummers are looking up to, even if enviously. Eugene’s bass layering gives each song a moody undertone adding dimensions and density; makes me want to pick up a bass and pretend to know how to play. Tatiana’s voice is mind boggling. Each song is a poem that contains precious parts of herself. She is pure talent and we are lucky to have her share so much of herself lyrically and emotionally. I can’t think of another vocalist with such diversity, charisma and range. Together they have created a treasure of music that doesn’t follow the usual song formula. Each song and album has seen them grow by leaps and bounds. And MICRO has set the bar even higher. This EP has been on repeat for me, never losing an ounce of ferocity with each spin. I find myself head banging, even with the volume at its lowest level. Personally, I haven’t been this excited about a band and their music in over a decade. I know that’s a big statement, as big as Texas. Yes, some of you may not agree with me, but that’s ok, we all have our personal tastes. But you have to admit, JINJER is doing something completely different and infectious, a breath of fresh air to a scene that has been stagnant and suffocating on the same cookie cutter format. They are forging their own path on which I will happily follow. You can either join or move out of the way. Order your copy here: https://www.napalmrecordsamerica.com/store/jinjer-micro-cd-ep.html

About  RAVEN BLACK : RAVEN BLACK  are a theatrical metal act from Michigan. Their unique brand of metal - influenced by gothic, classical, and circus music - is the soundtrack to vocalist  Raven 's curse, as she,  The Doctor  (guitar),  Stitches  (bass), and  The Demon  (drums) are traveling the world to tell their story.    The Doctor , a Voodoo Priest, came across a lost and scared little girl. He cursed her with a magic spell to turn her into a doll. The curse was disrupted by her terrifying and taunting screams, and the girl remained half human. As  Raven  lived in the dark world of the  Doctor , she secretly learned his magic and conjured up Muppet,  The Demon . She made him her eternal protector and trapped him inside her heart.  The Doctor  and Muppet created  Stitches  to help search for lost souls looking to join their dark world. INSANITY ALERT: Crossover Thrashers Unleash "The Body Of The Christ Is The Parasite" Video

666-Pack To See Release Via Season Of Mist January 25th

"...a one-two punch assault of crossover thrash mixed with elements of grindcore!" -- Metal Nexus View / Share INSANITY ALERT's "The Body Of The Christ Is The Parasite" Video At:    youtu.be/DtZN1J587ms        666-Pack  is the impending new full-length from Austrian crossover thrashers  INSANITY ALERT . In advance of its release, today the band is pleased to unveil the official lyric video for "The Body Of The Christ Is The Parasite." Check it out at    THIS LOCATION . If you missed it, sample "Welcome To Hell" as well as the band's video for "All Mosh / No Brain"    HERE . Forged in Innsbruck in 2011 and influenced by the likes of SOD, DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, Nuclear Assault, Bones Brigade, Municipal Waste, and Toxic Holocaust,  INSANITY ALERT  are the kind of people who know what to bring to a party: a big dose of humor with a dash of darkness, party tunes, and a six pack. It's these ingredients that make up the basis of the band's third full-length. A relentless, twenty-one-track ripper,  666-Pack  brings the classic spirit of speed metal's salad days back with savage metal precision. Ultra-catchy riffs, vicious vocals, and empowering gang vocals are packed into short, sharp rapid-fire attacks delivering everything great about thrash in spades. 666-Pack  was produced and mixed by Toni "Meloni" Loitsch (Die Toten Hosen, Silbermond, H-Blockx) at Nautilus Sounds Studio, mastered by Dan Randall  (Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Ghoul, Cannabis Corpse) at Mammoth Sound Mastering and comes wrapped in the gruesome cover creation of Mark Riddick (Rotting Christ, Horrendous, Revocation, etc.). INSANITY ALERT's  666-Pack  will be released on January 25th on CD, LP, and digital formats via Season Of Mist. For preorder options, visit    THIS LOCATION . 666-Pack is the impending new full-length from Austrian crossover thrashers INSANITY ALERT. In advance of its release, today the band is pleased to unveil the official lyric video for "The Body Of The Christ Is The Parasite."

XIPHOID DEMENTIA And BASTARD NOISE: Human Extinction Engine Split LP To See Release This March

Video Teaser Posted + Preorders Available

Human Extinction Engine  is the upcoming split record between the throttling yet textured death industrial of  XIPHOID DEMENTIA  and the harsh space ambience of  BASTARD NOISE . Conceptually, both artists unite in seeing a world where humans slowly tighten the noose around their own neck through "advancement" and "industry." Yet each artist reflects this concept in very different ways. On side A,  XIPHOID DEMENTIA  turns inward with cryptic spoken samples and delivers one track of pummeling industrial, one track of seething dark ambience, and concludes his piece with a martial industrial anthem. On side B,  BASTARD NOISE  explodes outward with clear cut lyrics delivered with his token death growls on tracks that range from textured harsh noise, to cosmic ambience. Sample the video trailer at    THIS LOCATION . Human Extinction Engine  will be released on March 1st on LP and digitally via a joint venture among Scry Recordings, Existence Establishment, and Phage Tapes. Preorders are currently available now via all labels or directly through  BASTARD NOISE . Follow the links below. Extraterrestrial Spring Evening XIPHOID DEMENTIA  Live Dates: 2/22/2019 Industrial Aktions Festival @ Terminal, Oakland, CA XIPHOID DEMENTIA  is the electronic music project of sound artist Egan Budd. Recordings began in 1999 and despite infrequent collaborations  XIPHOID DEMENTIA  has remained a solo project. With  XIPHOID DEMENTIA , Budd aims to create emotionally and visually charged soundscapes that affect the psyche of listener in both a conscious and subliminal nature. Compositions range from cerebral industrial to introspective drone and the many realms within. BASTARD NOISE  began as a combination side project and alter ego (with early releases often bearing both names) of the powerviolence group Man Is The Bastard in June of 1991. When Man Is The Bastard ended,  BASTARD NOISE  continued, mostly through the use of so called "caveman electronics" (the term that Henry Barnes gave his homemade tube oscillators) and vocals. Since then, the project has gone through various forms and sounds ranging from heavy rock to power electronics to full on noise. In 1999, John Wiese joined the fold which moved the project into more atmospheric territory, before leaving in 2004. Eric Wood and W.T. Nelson remained as the core of the project and the recent return of Joel Connell, along with Danny Walker's arrival, pushed the project back toward a sound similar to Man Is The Bastard. Currently,  BASTARD NOISE  is the solo project of Eric Wood with frequent collaborators. http://www.existest.org/xdementia http://www.facebook.com/xdementia http://soundcloud.com/xdementia http://www.bastardnoiseskullvault.com http://www.existest.org http://www.scryrecordings.com https://phagetapes.miiduu.com http://www.terror.lt/

SWALLOW THE SUN RELEASES NEW TRACK AND VIDEO "LUMINA AUREA"

WHEN A SHADOW IS FORCED INTO THE LIGHT OUT JANUARY 25TH (January 2, 2019 - Jyvaskyla, Finland)  - Finnish melancholy death-doom metal masters  Swallow The Sun  have released their epic standalone 14 minute track called "Lumina Aurea". The song features  Wardruna's Einar Selvik  and  The Forshadowing's Marco I. Benevento  and marks the band's darkest and most sinister piece of music they have ever released. Watch the music video for "Lumina Aurea", which was created by Aapo Lahtela and Vesa Ranta at Kaira Films,  HERE . "'Lumina Aurea' is a song I would never want to write in my life,"   Juha Raivio  states about the track . "It is an open, bleeding black wound from the last two and half years of my life. But I had to write it out. I could not back down from it. The way I wrote and recorded 'Lumina Aurea' was so rough emotionally and physically that I think I will never talk about it public. I know this road will go on forever as a part of me, but I have also made a peace with it-that I will never have peace with it. And that the life and the journey here must still go on for a while for those of us remaining. I knew that if I would go any deeper on that road with the album as I did with 'Lumina Aurea,' the path would not end well. So, I quickly realized that instead I will write an album that will manifest loud and clear that after all, 'Love is always stronger than death.' I wanted to find that angle for 'When A Shadow Is Forced into the Light'. This album is like a weapon for myself. A burning light, a burning torch. Victorious and proud." "Lumina Aurea" is available as 12" EP vinyl version and digitally  HERE .

Many words come to mind when you hear the name CANNIBAL CORPSE , but only one truly defines the thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), Red Before Black serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it abundantly clear who sets the standard when it comes to manifesting consistently compelling music that is as brutal as it is complex. "Throughout our career, we've tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. Red Before Black continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It's definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we've done recently," asserts bassist Alex Webster. "We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums," adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. "And as Alex said, musically I think it's the rawest sound we've had - and at the same time I think it's our most focused, tightest, and catchiest record." This is the real thing and is not one to miss. Heavy metal is alive and well and we can see it on the faces and hear it in the voices of the huge crowds filling arenas and amphitheaters everywhere we've been. It's been inspirational to see the energy and dedication of diehard Slayer fans turning out in huge numbers all over the world to support the kings of metal. For LAMB OF GOD to have been so well received is an honor all its own and we are beyond grateful to join them for another round. Cheers!" ABOUT LAMB OF GOD: Richmond, VA natives LAMB OF GOD are one of heavy music's most successful and uncompromising bands. When the band's first major release, New American Gospel, was released in 2000 it was immediately touted as a classic within the genre. AllMusic stated it best, "The essential signatures of post-Pantera metal are in abundance on Lamb of God's inaugural album. New American Gospel provides a mighty oak upon which gritty American metal's faith is maintained, effectively bridging the '90s' insistence upon drill-sergeant technicality and the old school's determined focus on riff construction." Some predicted a sophomore slump - that no band could top a debut album so strong. They were proven wrong, with the release of 2004's Ashes of the Wake , an album that not only exploded stateside (certified Gold by RIAA) but also saw the spread of LAMB OF GOD to all corners of the world. The band's first DVD, Killadelphia , followed shortly after and was certified Platinum. Then, with Sacrament (Album, 2006, #8 debut on the US Billboard Hot 200), LAMB OF GOD were honored with a Grammy nomination for the track "Redneck", which would be the first of five Grammy nominations for the band to date. Next came Walk With Me In Hell (DVD, 2008) and then the band's fourth album Wrath in 2009, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 200 Chart, and then Resolution , which debuted at #3. Shortly after the release of Resolution , vocalist Randy Blythe was arrested in Prague, and spent 30 days in jail on a charge for which he was later acquitted (and lead to Blythe's bestselling memoir, Dark Days , as well as the film As The Palaces Burn ). After regrouping, LAMB OF GOD lost no ground with their latest full-length album, VII: Sturm Und Drang , the album was #3 in the US, #1 in Canada, #2 in Australia, #3 in Finland, #7 in UK, #12 in Germany and #13 in Japan, and #13 in Netherlands. "Overlord", the first single from VII: Sturm Und Drang , achieved a new milestone for the band when it reached the Top Thirty of US Active Rock Radio Chart (Mediabase). In late 2016, LAMB OF GOD paid tribute to late, longtime fan and friend Wayne Ford with the release of The Duke EP, which raised funds and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The EP release coincided with a charity campaign offering personal items such as Blythe's Ashes Of The Wake Gold plaque, signed signature model guitars, handwritten lyrics and more. Most recently, LAMB OF GOD released a covers album under their original band name, Burn The Priest, entitled Legion: XX , in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the band's first album release. The buzzed-about album features tracks originally performed by Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Quicksand, Ministry, Bad Brains, Melvins, S.O.D., The Accused, Big Black and Richmond punk band Sliang Laos. Since inception and through it all, LAMB OF GOD 's consistent and unwavering commitment to their music - and their fans - has kept them a critical and fan favorite worldwide, selling millions of albums and tickets around the world. LAMB OF GOD is Randy Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (guitar), Willie Adler (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums).

ALIEN WEAPONRY Kick Off First-Ever North American Tour Tonight!

Release Tour Promo Video For "Ru Ana Te Whenua"

Three teenagers, known as  ALIEN WEAPONRY , from a tiny town in the small South Pacific nation of New Zealand have managed to capture the imaginations of people all over the world with their unique thrash metal sound and commanding live performances.  Proclaimed by  Noisey  as a band "well on their way to world domination,"  ALIEN WEAPONRY  are invading North American shores for the first time ever, supporting industrial legends Ministry.  The tour starts tonight in San Francisco, CA and runs through December 21st in Los Angeles, CA.  A complete list of dates can be found below including a special headline show on November 23rd in Gallup, New Mexico can be found below. In conjunction with the tour kick off, the band has released a new tour promo video for the track " Ru Ana Te Whenua, " taken from their debut album " Tu ."  Watch the video  HERE . Watch a video message from the band about the tour  HERE . Earlier this year,  ALIEN WEAPONRY  released their blistering debut album   'Tu' on the world via Napalm Records, short for 'Tumatauenga,' the Māori god of war, ' Tu'  also means to stand strong and proud, and, most importantly, to stand for something. The notion is reflected in the album artwork, which includes the traditional moko kanohi (facial tattoos) of the Māori warrior. The response for  'Tu'  has been nothing short of astounding with outlets like  Loudwire singing their praises, "Like Sepultura in Brazil before them,  ALIEN WEAPONRY are working to immortalize New Zealand's tribal culture through heavy metal."  Revolver Magazine  calls the trio, "So badass and so important to heavy-music culture right now."

VENOM ANNOUNCE NEW STUDIO ALBUM STORM THE GATES

ALBUM OUT DECEMBER 14 VIA SPINEFARM RECORDS

Venom , the unholy trinity of  Cronos ,  Rage , and  Dante , celebrate a massive 10 years together with new studio album,    STORM THE GATES    - a 13-track outing for blasphemers, fornicators, and the forever cursed  - set for release via  Spinefarm Records  on  December 14 . The CD/digital versions of the record will be available from this date, with a deluxe double vinyl package following early in 2019. STORM THE GATES   is a classic call-to-arms from a legendary band who can legitimately be classed as both original and genre-defining. There is nothing like  Venom . Just  Venom . Since 2009, this latest incarnation of the group has had a clear vision of who they are and where they want to go. They steadfastly refuse to compromise or waiver in their beliefs, building on the signature style and sound established by Cronos back in 1979. As both artist and producer, this iconic frontman - and  Venom's  beating black heart - effectively opened the gates (of hell) for a whole new brand of metal, genuinely changing the game with an intensity never before seen or heard. Mixing the caustic energy and serrated edge of punk with the volume and bombast of metal, adding a life-threatening amount of pyro, then brutally dragging the whole thing through a tangled hedge of thorns,  Venom  has been responsible for some of the guitar world's most revered - and feared - compositions. Titles to be whispered in darkened, cob-webbed rooms. There was metal and then there was Black Metal.  Venom  Metal. Now approaching the band's 40th anniversary,  Venom  have matured into a true force of nature - louder, faster, nastier and ready to unleash the hounds of hell with   STORM THE GATES , studio album No. 15. Produced by  Cronos  himself, this is the raw sound of a band who don't need tricks of technology to make their point. The titles tell it all: " Bring Out Your Dead " (the lead single/video), " 100 Miles To Hell ," " Destroyer ," " Beaten To A Pulp ," " Dark Night (Of The Soul) " - simply, there is no mellowing in spirit, nothing less than un-tempered rage and roar. As  Cronos  launches into album opener " Bring Out Your Dead ," spitting out the lyrics like a demon-summoning incantation, one thing is abundantly clear; this could be no other band. We're walking through a different landscape here, a world of dark intent underpinned by a selection of songs designed to have heads bangin' and spinnin' (The Exorcist- style) in equal measure... "We always say that a song has to find itself, has to develop," exclaims  Cronos . "We've had nearly three years with these compositions, speeding some up, slowing some down, changing the lyrics, adding breaks, moving verses... that's how songs grow, and that's how you end up writing a better album. That's why I don't believe in releasing a record every year - you can't possibly have let those songs develop to their full potential. These albums are going to be around a lot longer than I am, so they need to be able to stand up for themselves. With an album every year, I think you end up with two or three good songs and then a load of shit, and I certainly dont want to release that sort of album!" In 2018,  Venom  stand, as always, atop a pile of crushed skulls, wielding blood-stained sonic weapons designed to repel all that is weak and watered-down. There is real integrity here, a defined set of values, plus of course the ongoing ability to create music so worshipped by their Legions of followers worldwide. The songs themselves are drawn from such passion, based on audience chants, insane mosh-pits of excitement, and that feeling of being part of something enduring and special. No other line-up of the band has come close to what  Cronos ,  Rage  and  Dante  can deliver. F**k the pretenders,  Venom  rule the night!
