NOTHING MORE Live in Corpus Christi, TX at Brewsters Street Icehouse Feb 24, 2018

Nothing More made a stop and completely rocked Corpus Christi, TX this February 24, 2018.  I had never seen them live before, so being able to attend this sold out show was pretty exciting. I kept hearing from people how much of a great show they put on.  And to put it short, they weren’t lying.

Photographing this show was quite a bit a work.  Rarely did the vocalist Jonny hold still long enough to take photos; it was the same for guitarist Mark, bassist Daniel and drummer Ben.  So much energy on one stage was quite an experience.

While the band played hits from their albums, it was a truly mesmerizing to see them in action.  It felt like being witness to a ritual that was sacrificing blood and sweat to the rock gods of old and only those in attendance were privilege to partake. Watching how the band interacted with the crowd, you can easily see why fans love them.  There were so many times Jonny was up close and personal with the crowd. With holding hands and fan fevered pats, both vocalist and fans would sing together, creating a special moment in time to be forever treasured.

This continued throughout the set, luckily to the fans adoration. And yes, they did have their musical creations in attendance.  Those custom built beasts are a sight to behold.  And to see them being wielded by the band with such epic presence, you knew you were witnessing something truly special.

So, now I have become one of those persons that will tell you, YES! you have to see Nothing More live.  It truly is a one of a kind performance.

10 Years at Brewster Street Ice House Corpus Christi, TX Jan 21, 2018

Being a Sunday night, you wouldn’t think people are ready for a rock show.  But on this Sunday, the rock fans came out and packed Brewster Street Ice House to the brim.  This was my first time seeing 10 Years perform and I was also able to take photos of this show.

Sometimes you don’t pay attention on how many hits a band has until it starts playing.  Then you realize that 10 Years is a band that has consistently put out rock songs that have stood the test of time since 1999.  Hit after hit, fans were given an amazing performance from start to finish.  Singer Jesse Hasek has a unique voice that fits perfect with the music being played.  He is easily recognizable in his vocal delivery and pitch.

After their set, while fans were in standing in line, 10 Years band members surprised everyone by coming out to the merch table and started taking photos, shaking hands, giving hugs and taking the time to talk with everyone that stayed.  This, I believe, is what will always make bands stand out from others and make dedicated fans for life.

10 Years is a great band to see live, as all of those in attendance tonight can attest to.

Social Distortion at Concrete Street Amphitheater @concretestreet @houseorock

I was lucky enough to photograph such an iconic band thanks to Casey Lain from House of Rock this past September 1, 2017.  Rolling through classic songs, as well as introducing the crowd to a new one, shows that Social Distortion still has a full gas tank to keep going.  Clearly Mike Ness is a rock/punk legend truly deserving of such a title.
